As of Q4 2021 we switched to a new supplier of licensing solutions, Cryptlex. While this will be the only option for licensing an APIS version 9, we have ways of using this solution to license your earlier versions of APIS. If you have a valid license created prior to Q4 2021 it will work as before, so switching to this new method for version 7 or 8 is only needed if your key is no longer valid.
On-premise Floating Licenses Server
When APIS starts it requests a license from the license server. The license server checks the number of available licenses with itself, if it finds a free license it leases it to APIS for a specified amount of time (that is why it is called "floating"). This means that within your network or on the same machine as APIS, you need a running license server serving all APIS installations within reach. If you haven't got an activated license server running, you need to follow this procedure to get it working.
